The Secondary education programme at Springfield strives to develop not only a solid academic ability in its students, preparing them for higher education, but also vital life-long learning skills that are so important for 21st Century learners and global citizens.

Students mature in a vibrant and stimulating environment for learning and social development, enabling them to advance under a strong academic curriculum as well as a wide variety of extracurricular activities.

Our broad Secondary academic programme continues to cultivate a positive learning attitude in every student and sharpen their critical thinking and learning abilities, guided by Springfield’s Vision, Mission, and School-wide Learner Outcomes. Students experience a truly multicultural learning environment where their linguistic skills in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Chinese are honed as they develop a deep understanding of and respect for cultural diversity. Social Studies, Music, Physical Education and elective subjects provide students with a well-rounded academic programme.

In Grades 9 and 10, students participate in the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme (an international version of the well-known ‘O’ Levels), recognized internationally for shaping a student's problem solving, investigative, independent and co-operative working skills. Students participate in a broad academic programme comprised of core, option and elective subjects, allowing students to specialize in subject areas later in their Secondary school career (Junior College).
